INTERVIEW with "TAKUMI"

As everyone is a "takumi"
who continues to hone their skills

Production Division, Production Section 1

Kohji Kawamura

All of the processing positions are "takumi".

"Even though the department is different, I think that everyone who is engaged in processing work is "takumi", even for polishing and lathe. "

Kawamura, who is involved in machining, says so. It says, "New machines come in more and more, and if you don't challenge new challenges with ambitions, you will not get a job. If you're good with it, your skills will grow." This should not be a "worker" but a "takumi" who continues to hone their skills. "

Kawamura, who said that he liked to assemble plastic models since he was young, knew Miroku at the time of his job-hunting and said he was interested in "If we could do processing work at a company in the prefecture".

It is difficult and interesting
because it is one-piece processing

32 years of service. Kawamura, who became the chief director, tries to teach newcomers in an easy-to-understand manner, but when Kawamura joined the company, the sense that "the craftsman's job is stealing by himself" was commonplace. After being told about the general flow, I looked at the work of seniors with a high quality of work from behind, and I thought and devised for myself. Kawamura specializes in the production of customized machines. Because it is not a line work, each product condition changes. I can not but ask the seniors one by one, look at the design document, how to make and the time distribution until the delivery date, basically it is basic to think while making all by yourself.

"If you keep doing this work for a long time, you may feel that you can not do this as you look at the design document. Sometimes you can return to the design department to ask if you can not change it, and it will be less expensive. When it is found that there is a process like this, we sometimes make a proposal, but it is difficult to make a single process if it is difficult to make a manual, but it is also difficult to make each process different, but it is also an interesting place. "

Taking notes is a familiar output

Two new employees were assigned to the machine staff this year. Kawamura is also entrusted with new face education while doing his own work. Young people learn to use the computer soon so they say it is reliable but also leaks concerns that "taking notes" doesn't make it a habit.

"I'm teaching you to take notes first. It's not just for memorizing. It is the most familiar output that you write and write what you have taught and experienced in yourself That's why it's also helpful when teaching people, I think that accumulating output will increase the experience to twice and three times, and it will become blood and bones. There are many situations where you say things, so I want you to learn efficiently. "

When I see the whole flow,
my work becomes interesting

Kawamura, who has been machining for 32 years, has been dispatched to the company for about two years along the way. The electrician is responsible for actually making the drawings things. In the course of work, there was a point where I felt that there is more drawing accuracy than necessary. Therefore, if the feedback is given to the design unit, the cost is reduced. I learned that if I could see the whole picture of my work, I could think of my job more efficiently.

"At first I didn't feel like going to work in the company, but I realized that it was very important to experience the work of other departments. Communication in the company will flow well, and an important part of the design drawing The point is that you will be able to work in a good sense, which is very important for long working.

Accumulate knowledge and experience to improve the sense of work

Kawamura says, "Assembling is good. Even if you take one pipe, the people who can line it up will be a lot different in the finish." And "sense" is not a birth thing at all, but a difference in the amount of knowledge. Manuals can not teach you to build up knowledge and experience.

"It's tempting to think that the work of these factories is 'simple' or 'only doing what you've been told,' but that's not the case with me. I use not only tricks but it is understood by experience, but it is an interesting job that you can see your level up very well. I think you can taste the taste of work that is not unique to you. "
